PIX515 6.x and ASA VPN tunnels not reconnecting

I have set up 2 PIX515's that have VPN tunnels to multiple ASA's. The tunnels come up and traffic flows. However if one of the tunnels go down, I am only able to re-establish it from the ASA side, I cant bring it up wth traffic originating from the PIX side. ANyone have any ideas?
