anyone knows there is event correlation in ciscoworks LMS 2.6. such as one port down and other ports which are connected to that port down as well.in this case,LMS 2.6 is showing all ports down and not drill down to root cause.so,is there any event correlation feature that can drill down to root cause and send only one message for that root cause?if there is nothing like that,is it on the road map?what about LMS 3.0.thanks for your reply.

No, there is no event correlation in LMS. The only real fault management piece of LMS, DFM, is device-centric, and will not attempt to correlate device events to network outages.

However, DFM does offer a per-device alert system which attempts to roll up related events into a composite alert. You can choose to get notified only for alerts, but these lack the same in-depth detail that the atomic events provide.
