IP Communicator bad performance/ voice quality

I have call manager 4.1 and Cisco IP Communicator

I;m using CheckPoint VPN and I don't have a problem to access my net.

I try to use the IP Communicator but the voice quality is very bad, I try to user Skype and it's better than the IP Communicator, Any idea how I can improve voice quality (I try to mark V in the option "Optimaze for low bandwidth

I have this problem too.

Do you use G.711 codec? If yes, you can change to G.729 (by setting proper region for this IP Communicator device)
