Multilink : Reliability Problem

Hi,

We are having STM contoller on 7500 series router. We have 4, 2 mbpls point to point links from location A to location B. We have created a logincal multilink interface Mu1 and all 2 mbps links are member of this multilink interface. Problem we are facing is that reliability of mu1 interface goes down to 130/255 ( approximately 50 % ). We removed membership of links one by one, what we found is that when mu1 has only one member it works fine. We tested for all links seperately it worked fine, but when links were clubbed together lots of input errors are coming.

Any idea how to debug this problem.

Any link on cisco.com or experience in similiar line, please share, would appreciate.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Have you used mppp or mfr?

Can you post the config?

Krisztian

Hi,

We are using following conf for serial link

ppp multilink

ppp multilink group 1

and for multilink

ip address ***** /24

ppp multilink group1

this is the minimum configuration which we are using.

Please revert back

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

Has the mlppp established correctly?

show ppp multilink

Has the cef (dcef) enabled?

Alternatively try to configure mfr.
