On the new firmware above there is a 4th option under the "directories" button on the phone.

It is Intercom history. Anyone have any info on it? and secondly can you suppress its appearance?

I have this problem too.

Hi Tim,

This new addition to the Call History Directory is to support the built-in Intercom capabilities available in CCM 6.x. Have a look;

Intercom Call History

Allows you to view the most recent intercom calls.

From this A-Z Phone feature Guide;

The Intercom feature allows a user to place a call to a predefined target (phone). The called destination auto-answers the call in speakerphone mode with mute activated. This sets up a one-way voice path between the initiator and the destination, so the initiator can deliver a short message, regardless of whether the called party is busy or idle.

To ensure that the voice of the called party is not sent back to the caller when the intercom call is automatically answered, Cisco Unified Communications Manager implements whisper intercom. Whisper intercom provides only one-way audio from the caller to the called party. The called party must manually press a key to talk to the caller.

From these CCM 6.x release notes;

Hope this helps!

Hi Tim,

Yes, this seems like a pretty cool addition for sure. I wouldn't even attempt to turn it off. Just let your users know that this is for future services. Probably won't be too much of a bother for anyone :)

Take care Tim,
