I am seeing the following fault on my WLSE express: Radius server is not available

The following is what I see in the AAA-server-trace.log:

08/27/2007 20:15:23: P15467: Packet received from 192.168.50.4

08/27/2007 20:15:23: P15467: Checking Message-Authenticator

08/27/2007 20:15:23: Log: Request from 192.168.50.4: Message-Authenticator validation failed

What is causing this Fault?

Hi. It's likely that the "shared secret" or some other attribute isn't matching in your WLSE/ACS. In the troubleshooting guide, it mentions some of the things to look for:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/cscowork/ps3915/prod_troubleshooting_guide_chapter09186a0080363faa.html#wp1029186

of course, all of the settings for AAA authentication are found in the User Guide here:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/cscowork/ps3915/products_user_guide_chapter09186a008052dbfd.html

But definitely the Message-Authenticator

check will fail if the shared secret is wrong, so that's probably where you want to look first.

Make sure shared secret key is correct. Please type is again and do not copy paste.

I should have mentioned that I can authenticate with leap using my wirless client.

I also double checked the shared secret and it is correct.
