Dot1q Tunnel on 4506

Hello,

I recently upgraded my 4506 to IOS image:cat4000-i9s-mz.122-20.EW4.bin

However, after doing so I am unable to configure interfaces for dot1q-tunnels. I am able to set the global command, but the interface subcommands don't list dot1q-tunnel as a mode option.

I don't see a bug for this and the command sets on Cisco.com show the command should be "switchport mode dot1q-tunnel"

Anyone seen this before, or know what I am missing?

I think I may have found my problem. Does anyone know if the WS-X4148-RJ supports dot1q tunneling on the interfaces?

Hi, what sup engine type do you have?

based on these two doc this feature is only supported on supV for 4500 series platform.

See Layer 2 features

otherwise go to software advisory and seach for dot1q-tunneling or L2pt tunneling features based on your hardware to get right ios.
