I am planning to install a 3825 router that will be a data WAN router and a voice gateway. It will have a data T1 and a voice PRI. Can the same VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1 card serve both circuits? Or once I configure 'voice-card 0' will that card be only usable for voice?

The VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1 has a single PLL, meaning it can only clock from one of the two ports. This may or may not be a problem depending on carrier, and if you can supply clock to them as a workaround. If in doubt don't do it. Clocking issues on voice causes faxes/modems to fail, and on data causes re-transmits.

I came across the same problem recently and was told by my parnter that a VWIC card can only use once clock source, and that if you are using the same carrier for the data T1 and PRI you should be OK.
I had the luxury of having 2 VWICs in the router, so I put voice in one and data in the other; and I have room for growth.
