Base MAC-Address issue on Vocera badges with LWAPP

I have installed a Wireless network, with 3 WLC 4400's, WCS and 1030 LWAPP AP's with the primary use being for the Vocera badge system.

When we come to look on the badges for which AP the badge has associated to the MAC-Address has incremnented by a value of "1".

For example if the Base MAC is 001c.b107.8b10, the Vocera badge will report this as 001c.b107.8b11.

The version of software on the WLC is 4.1.171.0.

Has anyone come across this before as this will make setting up the location element of Vocera quite tricky!

This is an unsual behaviour. first check whether is there any other base station with MAC address ending with .11 there. If so, then this may also be displayed out there. Can you check this and let me know.

Hi Greg,

Can you confirm which WLAN your Vocera badges are connected and on which radio?

If Radio A then I believe your WLAN is 2 and if radio B then I believe your WLAN is 15? Can you please confirm? Then I will explain you the concept.

Regards,

Ankur

This is on the b/g radio and the WLAN ID is 1
