Hi,

We are trying to get the CVP 4.0 comprehensive model working and we are kind of stuck at the Call Server.

We are using SIP based call control and in the CVP Call Server, have turned on SIP/IVR/ICM service. After installation and applying the licenses when we restarted the Call-Server we saw that the status was down.

On checking the logs we saw it reporting the following null pointer exception

18: 10.11.0.46: Aug 28 2007 15:13:25.844 +0400: %CVP_4_0_IVR-3-UNKNOWN_EXCEPTION: Exception encoutered during initialization: java.lang.NullPointerException (IVRSubSystem.init)

I hopw somebody can help us as to how to rectify this error and get the SIP service up.

Thanks

Gokul,

This appears to be a known defect that was present in CVP 4.0(1) and fixed in the CVP 4.0(1)SR1 patch. I would attempt upgrading the CVP installation to either CVP 4.0(1)SR1 or the newer CVP 4.0(2)MR upgrade patch.

Thanks,

Seth

Gokul,

What version of the CVP 4.0 train are you currently using -- CVP 4.0(1), CVP 4.0(1)SR1, or CVP 4.0(2)MR?

Thanks,

Seth

Hi Seth,

We did as you suggested and upgraded to 4.0(2) and it works like a charm. I believe we were hitting Bug ID CSCsh05371. Now that we put the latest version, it works fine.

Thanks a lot for all the help
