Hi,

OSPF as a link state routing protocol (deals with LSAs rather than routes) does not auto summarize (doesn't support "auto-summary").

Hi,

Adding to Mohamed's post,

also you can't filter the LSD in OSPF by creating distribute-list/filter-list unlike other routing protocols.

(Summary-address) can be manually configured at the ASBR which summarizes (External Routes) being injected into OSPF domain.

(Area x range) can be configured at the ABR which summarizes the Inter Area routes being injected into specific area.
