Hi Naidu
This could well be down to the interface the router uses as it's source IP address when you do the ping.
Could you use the extended ping on the router and when it asks for the source interface use the IP address of the router interface that connects to your LAN.

Hi Jon,
Thanks for your early reply,
But I am not aware to use extended ping, can you tell what is the extended ping and how, from where shall we use it.
And what is the difference btw extended ping and normal ping (which from router int.)
many thanks in advance.

Extended ping on a router just gives you the ability to set more options. To use it just type
router# ping
and then hit return and it asks you questions as to what you want to do with the packet. Here's an example from one of our lab routers
=============================================
2600_rtr1#ping
Protocol [ip]:
Target IP address: 10.5.1.1
Repeat count [5]:
Datagram size [100]:
Timeout in seconds [2]:
Extended commands [n]: y
Source address or interface: 10.15.1.1
Type of service [0]:
Set DF bit in IP header? [no]:
Validate reply data? [no]:
Data pattern [0xABCD]:
Loose, Strict, Record, Timestamp, Verbose[none]:
Sweep range of sizes [n]:
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 10.5.1.1, timeout is 2 seconds:
Packet sent with a source address of 10.15.1.1
!!!!!
Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 1/2/4 ms

Did the extended ping (as suggested by jon) work?
