56-k circuit not coming up

Hello,

I am having problems getting my 56-k line connected. Following is my configuration for s0/0. Also i see my DTE-LMI down. I have external 56-k DSU also connected with the Router. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this problem.

LMI-Type i change to cisco from ansi but same thing no difference. My Carrier Transition and Interface resets are also increasing. Any suggestions, i will appreciate it.

This LMI type gave by ISP???

frame-relay lmi-type cisco

Please also try by

frame-relay lmi-type ansi and q933a

It sends LMI but not receives..by below output.

LMI enq sent 57, LMI stat recvd 0, LMI upd recvd 0, DTE LMI down

LMI enq recvd 0, LMI stat sent 0, LMI upd sent 0

Second check at both end Keepalive and IP address and Ecapsulation are same or appropriate.

As suggested by Purohit try q933a as well. Another suggestion is to change the LMI type and wait for some time before you hurry to change to a different LMI type.

Hope your encapsulation type is IETF and not cisco.

What does the command sh frame-relay pvc command show?

I tried different LMI-TYPE but still same. Kindly check my Interface Ser0/0 and see if i could be missing anything from the configuration point of view. Will appreciate

Your configuration looks fine as you are seeing DLCI information from the ISP frame-relay switch.

The problem seems to be from the ISP frame-relay switch to the remote destination network /or/ within the ISP frame-relay switch itself.

Please open a ticket with the ISP, there is nothing you can do to fix this at the router.

It should be noted that since IOS 11.2 LMI autosense is supported, so you no longer need to explicitly configure an LMI type on an interface. When the interface comes up, the router will send an LMI message for each LMI type, and wait for an answer. The response will tell the interface which LMI type to use.
