By testing the rollback procedure we got an issue while downgrading the SCE box from release 3.1.0 to 2.5.10. It seems the SCE gets stuck during the reboot after having executed the boot system command (boot system ?, then copy running startup and then reload).

We have seen this several times on several servers (even on a SCE1010).

After the message ?

Loading party database from backup. TimeStamp:165.? Nothing happens anymore.

Trying to telnet to the box was impossible (which is normal because it was not started up completely yet).

Trying 213.224.249.28...

telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

Until now, each time, we were able to boot the boxes by typing the reload command on the aux console, but we are not sure that this workaround will work all the time.

Does Cisco have similar experiences by other customers?

Is this a known issue?
