Hi,

I am sending a PPT with the proposed network diagram.

Please let me know the following,

1.The router would be dual homed and according to the cusotmer both NIC's would be in active active state.Let me know if this will work or not.

The whole network from edge router to core would work with OSPF routing protocol. Also let me know if the architecture is right or not.

The RIC-8E1 shownin picture is 8E1 to ethernet convertor and Egate is STM to eyhernet convertor.

Thanks in advance

Puneet kandwal.

As far as i think dual NICs are concerned Cisco does not support dual NICs with separate MAC addresses and IP Addresses. Cisco does however support NIC teaming in an Active\Passive mode where the NICs share a MAC and IP address and one NIC takes on 100% of the traffic. Active\Active (or load sharing) is not supported as it will cause issues with one way voice and other problems. I've enclosed a short document that describes Cisco's support for Dual NICs.
