Hatteras HN408-Ui vs a 1760 w/WIC-1ENET duplex issue

I?m having the following problems when connecting a end user through a local service provider using the HN408-Ui.

Since the WIC-1ENET is a fixed 10Mb 802.3 non-autnegotiating device the local ethernet connection defaults to 10Mb/half duplex and works fine as such.

In an effort of trying to set the connection manually to full duplex the link goes down between the modem and the router and does not come up again.

Have tried to contact Hatteras support but to no avail.

Anyone experienced similar problems ?

hi

I dont think you will be able to set full duplex on the WIC-1ENT card.

If you are able to do then i dont think your remote ed HN408 supports full duplex.

Thats the reason the link is not coming up.

Thanks for the reply

The WIC-1ENT supports manual duplex either way or thats what the manual states.

What I?ve was fishing for was if the telco technican was doing this correctly, since I?m convinced that the eth chipset in the modem supports this either way it must be f/w bug or mistak. Or this is the fist device that support 802.3u and uppwards, that i?ve seen.
