I was wondering what could be wrong on my ISR router... i currently have this type of topology:
lan--ASA--ISR----INTERNET
(see attached network topology)
On my ASA I have configured the static route tracking feature so that if my outside_isp1 fails it would automatically switch to outside_isp2backup, and this setup is running okay in the ASA. Now my problem is that my ISR cannot route my traffic once it changes its route to the second isp.
Attached is also sample of my configuration on the ISR.
please advice

I'd say this command:
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 121.97.XX.XX permanent
will make the route to ISP1 to be used all the time even when the interface is down.

thanks for the reply mihai :) so I'm I safe to say that would only need to take the "permanent" out of the static route that i've made?
i have also notice in my sh ip route that i only have one gateway set. see below...
Gateway of last resort is 121.97.xx.xx to network 0.0.0.0
58.0.0.0/32 is subnetted, 2 subnets
C 58.69.xx.xx is directly connected, Dialer0
C 58.69.xx.xx is directly connected, Dialer0
C 192.168.50.0/24 is directly connected, Vlan101
121.0.0.0/8 is variably subnetted, 2 subnets, 2 masks
C 121.97.xx.xx/29 is directly connected, Vlan100
C 121.97.xx.xx/30 is directly connected, FastEthernet0/0
S* 0.0.0.0/0 [1/0] via 121.97.xx.xx
is directly connected, Dialer0
so what do i need to do?
appreciate the help :)
