Performance Issues - VPN [ Site to Site ]

Have site to site VPN

ASA 5510 at Site A

3640 Router at Site B

Encryption = 3DES

HAsh = MD5

IPSEC Tunnel.....

Latency is very high and performance degrade.

When I compare the same config between Router to Router Latency low and performance Good

Someone can advice on this......

The reason for high latency could be vpn fragmentation. Increase the size of packts over the vpn by using the command "sysopt connection tcpmss 1300" on ASA and command "ip tcp adjust-mss 1300" on the router.
