Caller ID in FXO

Hi,

I am using FXO ports. My confugration is like:

voice-port 0/0

connection plar 1100

This 1100 is a AutoAttendant which will be routed to variuos users depending on the DTMF inputs. Say "pressing 1" will enable to dial by extension. If the call is routed to the an extension, the caller id is shown as " Unknown number" in that Phone instead of the actual external number.

How can I make to display the actual caller ID in this case ?

Manu,

I would do two things:

1. enter the command caller-id enable on voice-port 0/0.

2. PLAR the connection to an actual IP phone to verify you are receiving caller ID from the phone company.

If you are successful in getting caller ID, then we can take some next steps in troubleshooting.
