Recertification Question

Unanswered Question

I will have to recertify for CCNA in April. I know that to recertify you only need to do that at your highest certification, ie., if you have CCNA & CCNP, you only need to recertify the CCNP. I have taken the CCNP BSCI course at a Cisco Academy. Some people have told me that if I pass the BSCI test that this will recertify the CCNA. Is that so? I figured I'd have to take all four CCNP tests. Or, where would I go for the correct answer?

Thanks

I have this problem too.

Hi,

CCNP BSCI code is 642-901.

From http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le0/le9/learning_certification_type_home.html

" CCNA certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, either pass the current CCNA exam, or pass the ICND2 exam, or pass any 642 professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams), or pass a current CCIE written exam.".

I hope this helps.

Best regards.

Massimiliano.
