Hi,
I have a query where I have 2 remote sites with the same extension range:
Site A: 1231000 to 1231999
Site B: 7891000 to 7891999
I think there is two ways to do it, first in CCM and unity, to use 7 digit extensions. The VM and MWI should work.
But I'm thinking can we leave the CCM as 4 digit extensions and use the two seperate VM profile's mask as 123XXXX and 789XXXX. I am able to leave a VM to the correct mailbox, but the MWI doesn't work.
I think the VM port must be able to reach both Site A and Site B phone partition, but the CSS is sorted in order, therefore it would never reach Site B partition.
Did I missed out something? Have anyone tried this before?
Thanks!
Eugene

Anyone has any experiences using Unity between 2 sites with similar extensions?
Thanks,

Hi
Look at the document http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/401/integration/guide/ITCICM33.html
(CTRL-F in your web browser and search "multitenant").

Your concerns are very valid. Take a look at the following:
I have heard rumors that a future Unity release will be Partition and Calling Search Space aware which will alleviate this kind of problem.

Thanks guys.
Hope the new release would solve this issue alright.
