What do you mean "What type of connector"?

Are you talking about the RJ-45 ports or the SFP slots?

If you are talking about the SFP slots a "show int" will tell you.

Full-duplex, 1000Mb/s, link type is auto, media type is 1000BaseSX SFP

or

Full-duplex, 1000Mb/s, link type is auto, media type is 10/100/1000BaseTX SFP

It's an SFP connector.

If the connector was not attached would the media type be blank?

This is what mine says:

Auto-duplex, Auto-speed, link type is auto, media type is Not Present

Let me know if this helps!

Thanks, that answer my question.
