Wired guest access using CUWN?????

Hi All,

I've just found a very tantalizing statement -

" The Cisco Unified Wireless Network can also be used to enable wired guest access. A unified wired and wireless guest access solution greatly reduces the complexity and cost of guest access services, because both wired and wireless guests use the existing wireless infrastructure and IT administrators can use a single unified management interface to manage and monitor guests. "

in this document http://www.cisco.com/en/US/netsol/ns175/networking_solutions_products_generic_content0900aecd80529a2b.html

I say tantalizing as we have the CUWN here and are looking seriously at providing both wired and wireless guest access but I cannot find any configuration/topology info to back up the claim.

Anybody out there know how it is done?

Thanks

Scott

Hi Scott, hmm, dont know what they mean exactly. As i know the Controller Software is not able to termiate wired Guest Traffic, but i am sure that it will be offered in a future Release, maybe 4.2. Eventually they mean a solution with integrating a NAC Appliance within the Unified Wired/ Wireless Network. regards, Michael
