I am currently running LMS 2.5.1 on a Win2k3 box. If I change the local account password for casuser will this break CiscoWorks?
I will look forward to your response and thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Chris.

You shouldn't change the local account password for casuser as it is used internally by the application. If you need to change the password to get past a security policy on install you can do it, but then please run resetCasuser.exe.
When you execute resetCasuser, this executable will provide three options.
1. Randomly generate the password
2. Enter the password
3. Exit

Thank you for the response as it is most appreciated.
I am not sure if I understand you correctly. Could I change the local account password, do what I need to do under this local account, and then run the resetCasuser.exe without breaking CiscoWorks?
I will look forward to your response and thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Chris.

You should just use resetCasuser.exe to change the password
