Hi
Is a Catalyst 2960 24 10/100 + 2T/SFP LAN Base Image a layer 2 switch. Does it have layer 3 routing capabilities like the 3560?
Many thanks

Don't believe so, although Q&A (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6406/products_qanda_item0900aecd80322c37.shtml) states ("high-performance routing"):
POSITIONING
Q. What is the positioning of the Cisco Catalyst 2960 Series relative to the Cisco Catalyst 2950 Series?
A. The Cisco Catalyst 2960 Series provides Cisco intelligent switching and 10/100/1000 offerings. Both product families are designed for similar topological positions in the network, deploying networkwide intelligent services such as advanced QoS, rate limiting, ACLs, multicast management, and high-performance routing. In contrast to the Cisco Catalyst 2950 Series, the Cisco Catalyst 2960 Series offers 10/100/1000 models, as well as the flexibility of dual-purpose uplink options through SFP-based Gigabit Ethernet ports instead of gigabit interface converter (GBIC)-based ports.
table 7 has:
Support for Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) IPv6 12.2(40)SE 3750, 3560, 2960

The Catalyst 2960 does not support Layer 3 routing. The documentation will be corrected.
