1760 Voice gateway T1 CAS

Hi,

I am trying to configure 1760 Router (ver 12.3.14T ) with T1-CAS as an MGCP gateway.

As part of MGCP configuration i am trying to run

"ds0-group 0 timeslots 1-24 type none service mgcp " , however this command doesn't seems to be supported on this router

VG(config-controller)#ds0-group 0 timeslots 1-24 type none service mgcp

% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

I tried a couple of other IOS version without any luck. Did anyone configure 1760 as MGCP GW with T1-CAS ?

you will need to configure the MGCP service under the dial-peer command and not in the controller.

example

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destination-pattern

service MGCPAPP (some are case sensitive so do all caps)

port (T1 voice port created in the DS0-group)

the service MGCP under the controller is used when you configure a PRI-group i think.
