Can I know the date of manufacture of the router through its serial no.?

Hi All,

Is there any approach that can let me know the date of manufacture or sale of the router by using its s/n?

Jason,

I don't think it is possible using serial number. As per my knowledge the only way to know it is via Cisco GCC.

Jason,

Many Cisco products have the production date on a sticker attached to the device. I have some equipment with date stickers back to the late 90's.
