PRI Module in 2800

I had an early 3640 router with a PRI ISDN module in it. I've since decommisioned the 3640 and I want to put the PRI module in a 2800. However, the 2800 does not appear to recognise it. The 2800 is running c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.124-15.T1.bin The Cisco site appears to show that the 2800 supports a PRI ISDN module.

A "show inv" shows an unknown module in the router.

Do I need a newer version of the PRI card for my 2800 ? Is my existing one only good as a door-stop ?

I'm not sure which card you are talking about, so look about half-way down this document and it will show you which WICs are supported by the 2800 series:

Hi,

on the ISR routers, for data PRI, you can use either NM-xCE1T1 (x is the number of ports), or the VWIC-xMFT, or VWIC2-xMFT-xE1T1

With the latter hardware, support for data PRI has been added just recently and some dial features are missing. See:

hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
