CME Problems Connecting with SIP Provider behind PIX

I've got a problem with a 1760 router running cme 4.0(1). I?m trying to connect to a SIP service provider located on the other side of my PIX (running 8.0(2)code).

I've got a TAC case open and the router team is pointing their finger at the pix team. Neither one has a solution, hope someone can help.

I've attached the output of a ccsip message debug. Please refer to that.

The registration piece looks fine. My 1760 has a private IP address of 192.168.1.2. When the registration reply comes back from the provider it looks like the PIX correctly changed the contact to sip:17472445197@65.5.168.22:1464> Which is the "my sip phone nubmer@my PPPoE interface on the PIX"

Now if you look at the invite:

INVITE sip:17472445197@65.5.168.22:1464

The router sends back a "400 Bad Request - 'Invalid Host'" because ip address does not belong to any interface on the router, this is the PIX's outside interface.

Is it the PIX's responsibility to change the invite message back to the routers Private IP address "192.168.1.2?"

If you need router/PIX config's I can provide them as well.

Thanks in advance!

Perhaps the problem is due to 8.0(2) ?

I have one with 6.3(5) something and works ok with just a static NAT.

You are right in saying that the router should never ever receive anything with PIX's outside address.
