i cant make 7960 to register on my cme. OTHER PHONES WORKS LIKE 7912.

Please configure "type XXXX" under all the ephone.

ive done that but prob remains. note that only 7960 is not working.

Ok, what the phone displays ? Is it getting an Ip address? What do you have for DHCP in the router?

it says configuring ip

Is the ethernet connection OK? Is DHCP in the router configured OK?

Is this happening on all 7960's or just one?

check if the phone settings are same as other one like publisher addres, TFTP in networking etc.

Try removing the phone and plugging into a jack where it works with other phones.

Is the Mac in the data base..
