Hi All,

In order to support 10GB link for 6500 non-E module, Fan Tray 2 need to be installed. Does the "Fan Tray 2" means the high speed fan tray? and also 2500W power supply or up needed to support the "Fan Tray 2?"

Thank you!

Best Regards,

Teru Lei

Hi

Yes you need the non-E high speed fan tray and the part number is:

WS-C6K-9SLOT-FAN2

Yes you will need to upgrade the power supply to at least 2500W.

How can one tell if they have the high speed fan tray, fan2 installed?

Is there a command?

Thanks..

Hi

"sh env cooling" should show you the fan part number.

I don't have that option. I am running CatOS. I have a show env temp but it doesn't show any part numbers. Any other suggestions.

Thanks for your help.
