How can I send alot of arp requests for testing?

If we understood more about your environment and about what you are really trying to accomplish we might be able to give you better answers.

But one way to generate logs of ARP requests is to configure a static default route pointed at an Ethernet interface. Then generate pings to logs of destination addresses. For each destination address the router will generate an ARP request.

Another approach would be to configure a router with an Ethernet interface in a class B network using a /16 mask. Then generate pings to lots of addresses within that network. This will generate an ARP request for each destination address.

i have setup broadcast suppression so i want to now test and see that it is working by sending alot of arp requests from a host. I dont want to configure anything special like another class of ip's or anything.

alternatively try "ip arp inspection limit". I have never tested it myself but if it does what it says on the tin its what u need .
