Bridged mode and source address

I had heard that bridged mode was essentially the same as 1-armed-bandit in that the client source address becomes the address of the CSS when the traffic reaches the balanced server. By bridged mode I mean int e1 and e2 are on VLAN1 - e1 is outside and e2 say attaches to a switch with servers to be load-balanced.

My lab has already moved on from this mode. But I wondered if someone could verify if this was or was not the case. Thanks.

bridge mode is exactly what you described.

2 physical interfaces in the same vlan/circuit.

Usually the servers are on 1 physical interface and their default gateway on the other interface.

The IP addresses are not changed for bridged traffic.

But the src mac address will change like with any bridge/switch.
