pppoe cant be removed !

hi,

i have this configuration:

interface FastEthernet3/0

ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0

ip nat inside

ip tcp adjust-mss 1452

duplex auto

speed auto

pppoe enable

pppoe-client dial-pool-number 6

pppoe-client dial-pool-number 5

pppoe-client dial-pool-number 4

!

when i try:

#conf

<config>#int fast3/0

<config-if>#no pppoe-client dialer-pool-number 4

it just wont be removed!

on my other fastethernet intefaces i am able to remove it with the same command

how do i find out what is wrong??

Still you have the correct syntax:

pppoe-client dial-pool-number

To configure a PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) client and to specify dial-on-demand routing (DDR) functionality, use the pppoe-client dial-pool-number command in either interface configuration mode or ATM virtual circuit configuration mode. To disable any configured functionality, use the no form of this command.

pppoe-client dial-pool-number number [dial-on-demand]

no pppoe-client dial-pool-number number [dial-on-demand]

Can you try if it works when you shutdown the ethernet interface first?

hi thanks,

no it wont be removed!

i tried shutting the interface then no pppoe-client dial-pool-number 4, it wont be removed.

i tried no pppoe enable, then all of the dial pools has been removed, but when i enable it again by pppoe enable, all the pppoe-client come back.

help please!

by the way, both fast eth have EXACTLY the same cfg, i am not sure why they are diffrent in this output, might this help? please let me know..
