Unable to boot Cisco 1721 Router

Hi All,

I have one Cisco 1721 which was working fine w/o any problem. But some days back due to unable to recall password being set into it, I just booted the Router with pressing Ctrl + Break key to go to rommon prompt, but it gets hanged.

Then I started the Router again, it never come up and even tried again with Ctrl + Break key, nothing comes into the console screen.

Appreciate if someone help me to make this Router bootable?

Hi Suresh,

Whether you are not able to see anything on the console or u r getting any o/p.

What is the LED status of the ports?? Showing up or down!

Hi Balaji,

I can not see anything on the console at all.

LED I can see PWR & OK (Green). No other LEDs lighted.

Hi Suresh ,

Connect console cable to router and Try out with verious baud rates starting from min.value ...

At one point u should be able to access the router.

configuration register value may not be 0x2102 when you attempted to enter into rommon mode.
