Hi can anyone recommend which one to purchase. All i require is a bogstandard fast firewall that will not drop packets due to fast burst

PIX is OLD
ASA is NEW
If you are loking for the future I would recommend you buy ASA.

performance wise just to do firewall stuff and not vpn etc would you recommend pix535 or asa
