hi

we have a requirement where in we need to run GRE tunnel over a frame-relay point-to-point to link i need questions to the following.

1.Can we configure GRE tunnel over a Frame-relay point-to-point link

2.What is the minimum router requirement

3.Sample configuration of GRE

I have not done this exactly as you describe so I can not speak from experience. But it should be easy to do.

I believe that any router that supports point to point Frame Relay will also support GRE tunnels. they have been supported in IOS for a very long time.

The configuration would look something like this (details would obviously depend on your situation):

interface tunnel 1

ip address

tunnel source serial1/1.200

tunnel destination
