7940 sccp to sip

Hi All

I need to convert an existing 7940 running sccp on my cme 4 system to sip.

I have downloaded sip firmware, used tftp-server command to share files.

Then created voice register pool and dn commands to setup the phone.

I've setup voice register global with phone load command and used upgrade and create profile commands.

Problem is it always reverts to sccp.

I used show telephony-service tftp-bindings to view config files and don't see ANY sip config files.

I think there should be a sipdefault.cnf file along with others? is this correct? if so where do i get them from?

Thanks in advance

You see the sip files with show voice register global tftp-bindings.

Remember to remove the ephone for the corresponding phone also.

The best way to change load is to factory reset the phone (I think you know the sequence by now).

Once again you come to my rescue!

The 'show voice register global tftp-bindings' command didn't work so I couldn't the bindings.

But I tried a factory reset and for some unknown reason it worked!

I'd still like to understand why it didn't do it before but hey - result!

Thanks

Sorry, that is,

show voice register tftp-bind

Happy it helped. good luck!
