Hi,
Is there a way to pass caller ID name from the PSTN to CUE?
I'm passing the number but not the name.
I'm receiving caller ID name via my PRI's and passing it to the IP phones.
The idea here is to not have "unkown caller" appear for external voice calls in voiceview, but rather the caller ID name received from the PSTN.
Thanks,
Mike

Mike -
If you do a debug isdn q931 you should see the Caller ID infofrmation listed. Chances are you aren't getting the name information from the PSTN.
Here is an example of the debug information from a PRI that doesn't receive Caller ID info:
Sep 12 18:40:10.461 BST: ISDN Se0/0/0:15 Q931: RX <- SETUP pd = 8 callref = 0x0001
Sending Complete
Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A3
Standard = CCITT
Transfer Capability = Speech
Transfer Mode = Circuit
Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s
Channel ID i = 0xA98381
Exclusive, Channel 1
Calling Party Number i = 0x00C3, N/A
Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown
Called Party Number i = 0x81, '234160'
Plan:ISDN, Type:Unknown
Notice the calling Party Number information, the N/A should hold the Calling Party's Number.
Notice here is an example of an ISDN debug with both Caller ID and Caller ID with Name:
Sep 12 13:45:21.901 EDT: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- SETUP pd = 8 callref = 0x1C22

Hi Mike
You cannot get PSTN info because the PSTN does not forward that info
Hope that helps

Is it possible to display the name for internal IP Phone callers? I can forward extension number but not the name of the internal caller.
Thanks
