CSA V5.2 install fails on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4

Hi, everyone!

When I try

# sh ./install_rpm.sh

the following message appears

Missing kernel headers: /lib/modules/2.6.9-55.ELsmp/build/include not found. Aborting install.

And then installation fails.

Where is the problem?

Thanks

This is because the kernel headers are probably not installed.

Install the

kernel-smp-devel-2.6.9-55 EL.i686.rpm package.

that will provide the headers in /lib/modules/2.6.9-55.EL ...

Thanks!

Package really helps, but installation still failes. At the end of the instaiiation in /opt/CSCOcsa/bin I find CSA's files , but when I start CSA after rebooting no host information, management center information is displayed and CSA flag on the control panel appears with red dot

Reinstalling Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES solved this problem:)

Have you confirm that the host is able to contact the MC by pigning? Are the DNS query to your MC server returning the proper IP.

This sounds like a network connectivity/configuration issue and without any error message of logs it's hard to troubleshoot.
