Question about trunk groups

I'm used to configuring T1 and E1 circuits on gateways, so recently I've run into "trunk groups" on gateways provisioned with analog lines. I'm getting ready to set up ground-start analog DID lines (three of them). The three lines are going to be routing inbound calls for 10 DIDs, I'm wondering how a trunk group plays into this. Can someone help?

For incoming, trunk-groups are not useful as for outgoing, where they permit to reduce number of DP's very much, and few other things.

Still you can use them to apply for example a translation-profile to all three lines in a single command.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
