We are in the process of converting our phone system from a Nortel system over to Call Manager 5.1 with Unity 4.0. We have about 200 phones on the cisco side so far. We just switched over our main switch board. They are tied to a call handler for after hours greetings. In that greeting it states "If you now the extension you would like to reach you may dial it at any time" if the person trys to dial an extension that still lives on the Nortel side, unity can not find it because it is not releasing it back to Call Manager. Is there any way for that call handler to release all dial extensions back to CM so CM can then route the call occordingly.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Jeff,
I think you will need to look at the Restriction Table associated with the System Transfers to get calls to route back to the Nortel;
Caller System Transfer
You can modify the predefined restriction tables, and you can create up to 100 new ones. You can also add up to 100 dial strings to a table. New dial strings are automatically inserted into the restriction table as Dial String 0. Note that the order of the dial strings is very important because Cisco Unity sequentially compares a phone number to the call patterns in the restriction table, starting with Dial String 0. If a number matches more than one call pattern, the number is handled according to the first call pattern it matches.
From this excellent doc;
For example, if your Nortel extensions are;
7000-7999
8000-8999
You would need a;
7xxx* (Allow) Pattern
8xxx* (Allow) Pattern
Hope this helps!
