Callwaiting issue

I have a remote branch with MGCP gateway connecting to the PSTN via POTS line.

When a user is on a call and another call comes in he hears the call waiting tone but the second call never appears on the phone. Thus he can never pickup the second call, furthermore the second call never reaches voicemail either. I have max call to 4 and busy trigger to 3.

Any ideas?

what happens to the call?

I usually have line settings to 4 and 2. Try initiating two calls yourself and see if main is getting the call.

There's a possibility that the POTS line has call waiting enabled. Therefore the call waiting beep is being generated by a second call on the same POTS line and not by a second call coming from another POTS line or internal phone. That also explains why the call never makes it to voicemail.

Yes the telco has call waiting enabled, is there nothing i can do in callmanager to have the user switch over to the new call when he hears the beep?
