I have a 2621xm that has a WIC-1DSU-T1-V2 in built in wic slot 0, vwic2-2mft-t1/e1 in built in wic slot 1, and NM-HDV2-2T1/E1 in slot 1 that has a vwic2-2mft-t1/e1.
I want to replace the WIC-1DSU-T1-V2 (wic slot0) with a vwic2-2mft-t1/e1 to add one more port for a t1. This router will have a total of 7 t-1?s. I know the NM-HDV2-2T1/E1 with a 2 port trunk card can only hadle 3 t-1?s so adding a fourth to it won?t work.
I wonder if I can have two 2 port trunk controllers in wic slot 0 and slot 1 to fire up four t-1?s from the wic slots and 3 t-1?s from the network module in slot 1.
thanks in advance.

WIC-1DSU-T1-V2 can have only one port. Two ports will not be possible.

im looking to replace the 1 port WIC-1DSU-T1-V2 with a vwic2-2mft-t1/e1. i did some testing last thursday and i couldnt get the vwic version2 to light up but the plain vwic works fine. We are going to upgrade to 12.4 to see if that helps. Great read concerning the multiflex trunk cards.

7 T1 on the 2621 is a bit on the high side of things, I would look minimum at a 2821 with only VWIC cards for this.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

do you think it will crash the router - the offices (5 of them) are small 80 people total - the other 2 circuits are a PRI and a WWW circuit.
should i look at the memory useage?
thanks.
