Hello,

Can someone please help. I am seeing that on all my switches the ospf route change the time is 03:53:12. Why this change? is this normal?

O 142.101.0.188/30 [110/4] via 142.101.0.74, 03:53:12, GigabitEthernet2/5

[110/4] via 142.101.0.186, 03:53:12, GigabitEthernet2/8

O 142.101.176.0/24 [110/103] via 142.101.0.1, 03:53:12, GigabitEthernet5/1

O 142.101.0.176/30 [110/5] via 142.101.0.17, 03:53:12, POS1/0/0

O 142.101.0.180/30 [110/8] via 142.101.0.74, 03:53:12, GigabitEthernet3/13

Chris,

You can run the following command to find out more about what triggered SPF execution.

show ip ospf statistics detail

this is the output for show ip ospf statistics detail. This shows me that there's change at 09:42. Is this because there changes on the two router?

Chris,

The SPF was indeed triggered by a change in the router LSA for these two routers. Most probably the adjacency status changed on a link between the two routers.

A show log will probably tell you more.

The LSA refresh doesn't trigger the SPF if nothing has changed in that LSA.
