crmdmgtd does not work..

Hi, till sept13, my CW LMS was working fine, and after a reboot on autoupdate (which updated

on the Windows OS), when i try to start crmdmgtd.exe i get following.

I have following packages/versions..

Try running NMSROOT\setup\support\resetCasuser.exe and see if that helps. If not, check the Windows event viewer for other clues.

Thanks, it started successfully after changing the password. If you could just brief me what was the issue, and the dependency on the casuser, that would teach me a lot..

You cannot change casuser's password without using resetCasuser. The password must be known to dmgtd in order for it spawn processes as casuser.

I have the same issue, after reseting the Casuser password all works fine.

But is it a well known bug and have you a bugfix for it ?

Do you know the reason why a reboot of the server cause a need of resetting the Casuser password ?

The only things that resetCasuser does are change the casuser password in the SAM and in our private registry location, and reset the local security policies to allow and disallow casuser certain rights. If this tool fixes your problem, someone or some thing is either manipulating the SAM entry for casuser or changing the local security policies.
