OK, but the initial written exam expiry is 18 months, from my exam date it is until 13 April 2008. My question is what date is the good one: 13 april or 10 jan 2008

You are in the same situation that I was until a couple of days ago. You will have to take another lab before 11 Jan 2008, otherwise your written will expire. But the order book for lab tests is full, and they have a booking horizon of 6 months. So the seats they release each day are currently for March 2008, which is too late for you.

I have solved my problem by camping on the CCIE scheduling site at about 07:00 GMT each day (Wednesday to Sunday for some reason), and taking the first cancellation seat that became available. You have to be quick to reserve it. Usually cancellations are 28 days in advance because that is the deadline for payment.

Good luck

Booking a test is becoming as difficult as the test itself.

I'm gettint more and more confused. Is the deadline 11 jan 2008 or 13 april 2008?

As you stand, your deadline is 11th January 2008. But all the lab places are are booked up until about March 2008. So unless you manage to get a cancellation seat before that date, you are too late.

Sorry to put it bluntly.
