Hi,
I have some basic queries about VG224.
1) How many Ethernet ports VG224 is having? Is it possible to configure redundancy oe etherchannel between these ports?
2) How many maximum number of ad-hoc conferences can be initiated from an analog phones connected to the VG224? Is it the same case with IP phones as based on the "Max ad-hoc conference" service parameter or it is different?
3) Will I get full voice mail functionality with these analog phones as I have with normal IP Phones?
4) Is there a document which compare Ip Phones and analog phones connected to VG224?
Can someone throw some light on this?
Thanks,
Pete

Check this:
1. 2 ports, With call manager, you can only register one
address or interface at a time...you can't register more than one interface,
so you can't register both ethernet interfaces. For redundancy purposes,
your only real choice is to route via a loopback interface on the router,
and don't use the ethernet address. This way you'll have multiple paths to
the loopback address for redundancy purposes
2. Same as IP Phones it dependes on conference bridge.
3. Yes, but depending phone model you will get MWI or not

Hi Gonzalo,
Thanks for your inputs.
For point 2 for the conferencing support, I can see the from your provided link for point 4 ie.http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/gatecont/ps2250/products_data_sheet09186a00801d87f6.html
Here I can see the conference call is for 3 parties for analog phones. Is this based on the default parameter or can be modified?
Thanks,
Pete

Hi Pete,
Mmm I think yes, tat would be a limitation when conference controller (initiator) is analog. I dont think this can be modified.
