ATM F5 Continuity check issue

After having CC configured into the router, the connection is not able to fail over of 2 ATM links towards a Node after one of its interface have been "virtually" disabled.

Show atm pvc 1/3132 show its status to be UP when it was suppose to be "Status: DOWN, State: NOT_VERIFIED"

The downed status can only be achieved after this particular circuit has been reconfigured.

However once this severed link was restored both ATM links are able to normalize at times.

My circuit configuration are as follows;

interface ATM1/0.34 point-to-point

ip address 10.78.66.234 255.255.255.252

pvc 1/3132

ubr 128

inarp 1

oam-pvc manage

oam retry 3 5 1

encapsulation aal5snap

interface ATM2/0.34 point-to-point

ip address 10.78.66.238 255.255.255.252

pvc 1/3133

ubr 128

inarp 1

oam-pvc manage

oam retry 3 5 1

encapsulation aal5snap

During this time when "debug atm pvc" was switched on, messages for 1/3132 being disconnected never prompted.

So this is where the problem lies when the router still thinks the severed link is still up.

IS there a resolution to this?

IOS version 12.3(19) Kboot

Can you upgrade to latest 12.3 for you router, try again, show atm pvc for both conditions,

A bit hard to do when the router is handling O&M traffic for radio base stations. Any work around?
