WEP compatibility with Netgear Adapter

We have Cisco Aironet 1100 routers and have been running an open access point for some time now with Netgear WG111T Wireless USB Adapter. I just enabled WEP authentication on the routers and setup all laptops successfully. I am able to hardwire all machines except for one in the middle of the building. That machine has the Netgear adapter on it and now it will see and connect to the access point, but can't recognized the DHCP server, so I get a boggus IP address (169,254,57.157) instead of on of our network IP addresses (10.0.10.X). Does anyone know if these units are compatible? Thanks! Brian

If it is a WEP 64 bit authentication it normally works. But if it is a 128 bit it is not assured. You can try upgrading client software, firmware and utilities. Also chek if any other third party product works.
